March 19, 2025
From UPAEP - Mexico, we express our closeness and solidarity with university communities, families of officials, friends, faculty, staff, students, and alumni in Oklahoma State University at the cities of Stillwater and Tulsa, as well as in The University of Oklahoma at Oklahoma City and Norman County campuses, all in Oklahoma, United States, who have faced difficult times due to the wildfires that have ravaged the region in recent days. We pray for you and your families, that you may soon recover.
To UPAEP university community, we inform you that five UPAEP graduate students are currently in Stillwater, completing their dual-degree programs, one more in an accelerated masters program, and two more completing internships. All of them are safe in their accommodations, in and off campus. UPAEP International Programs Office has been in contact since the beginning of the emergency, in coordination with the OSU Global Partnerships team, OSU Mexico, and OU Mexico, to offer full support. We have asked them to monitor official communications from their host universities and to contact their academic program coordinators if they require any assistance.
From Mexico, UPAEP community expresses its sincere solidarity with university communities of Oklahoma State University and The University of Oklahoma.
